The only con about AU is that it must have supplied air. And if you have supplied air, there are no cons, except it costs much more than tractor store or dealer paint. Pros are good flowout, excellent gloss, good chemical resistance (gasoline, but don't dump it on just for the fun of it, it will damage uncured AU), and very little fading. If you mess up and get runs, excessive orange peel, etc, it can be sanded and repainted the next day. Or you can color sand and buff it out. I use PPG Omni, DuPont Nason is about the same, Sherwin Williams/Martin Senor/NAPA, etc have similar versions. I use PPG because I have a dealer, as long as it is a "Name brand" I consider them equivalent. There are differences in some of the procedures. These are "economy" urethanes, about $135/gallon including hardener. Add another $120/gallon to that for epoxy primer and urethane surfacer, plus reducers and miscellaneous. DuPont Imron and PPG Concept are the high line versions and cost about twice that much. I am talking single stage, base/clear is available in both the economy and premium versions. AU is very easy to use, with a little practice you will get no runs or sags, and very little orange peel.
