Bought the paint today for the loader I'm working on. Thought you guys might be interested in the prices. The quantities are more than I need so I have enough left over to do the tractor chassis later.

MP170 Gray Primer - $55.30/gal
MP175 Primer Catalyst - $11.20/qt (bought 2 qt)

MAE Acrylic Enamel 12908 Blue - $58.55/gal
MR 187 Slow Reducer - $19.25/gal (only need 1 quart but didn't have quarts)

MS251 Solvent (gun cleaning) - $8.90/gal
MX190 Wax & Grease Remover - $16.15/gal

CNKS - I asked the guy behind the counter about using the DX330 instead of the MX190. He said he had used both and didn't think it was worth the extra $12 per gallon.

He also said he would try a small area without the reducer since I was painting 'farm equipment' and if it looked OK don't use it. Any idea what he meant?

Your prices are a little lower than what I pay but not much. Perhaps I should try the 190, but I have had success with 330, so am hesitant to change, it is GOOD stuff, not sure he carries 190 anyway. My dealer suggested MS 251. At the time I didn't know it was the replacement solvent for MS 100, eats my gloves and my skin, so I went back to 330 when I realized what it was, after about 30 seconds. I would mix the reducer and MAE as the spec sheet says, and ignore your dealer. You might do that with alkyd enamel, since it does not usually have precise mixing instructions. MAE does. I have only used MAE a couple of times, mainly on my rims, it works fine.
