Nason Ful-cryl question

Ready to paint some of my parts with Ful-cryl II Acrylic Enamel. I used Ful-poxy primer, and have scuffed in preparation for topcoat (primed weeks ago). Tech data sheet for Ful-cryl says a sealer is required, and to use Ful-Seal Select 422-23. This is required apparently to maximize 'distinction of image'. Is this really required on cast metal and small parts? When I do get to the tin work, perhaps it is needed there? Also, what is the purpose of primer-surfacer? Again, do I need this on cast?

Thanks

No you don't need primer/surfacer on cast.Surfacer is a filler in sprayable form.Use it to fill minor imperfections and create a smooth surface for topcoats. The sealer may also be required to give more of a chemical type bond for your paint.I don't use this brand so can't positively say. No ,DOI isn't a priority on cast parts.Guess that was all your questions. Good Luck.
