Has anyone ever used the Hardnose type of paint made by POR 15. They claim that it is the hardest and most durable paint made. I was thinking of getting some to do my rims on the tractors. I was wondering what it looks like when it is done with a brush. they say no brush strokes when brushed on either. Thanks
Brad

I have just used the por-15 Glisten-PC Clearcoat on the rims for my 2N. A little goes a very long way. I applied with a foam brush and have seen no brush marks at all. It took mine over a day to dry hard to the touch so make sure it can stay out of dust and dirt for awhile. They say the clearcoat takes 3-4 days to dry completly. I have been very pleased with it so far. It leaves a very glossy coat.

I haven't used the Hard Nose, but I have used their "regular" POR-15 on truck frames and similar places before. Apply it with a foam brush, and it flows together very nicely, with excellent coverage and no noticeable brush marks. Time will tell how well it will hold up, but I do know several professional restorers who swear by it. It's not cheap, but a quart will go a long way, and it's probably more economical on a coverage per dollar basis than many cheap paints.
