Do I beadblast this planter, and IHC plow I have?
All brown, but in good cond for their age,
What is good?
walnut,s? or glass beads,
If i did it outside , glass stuff would be all over the ground, and everywhere else,
so that,s out,
I wish i had a person in North Ks to help me with this,
K,C,

You should do fine with regular sandblasting. I have a hard time getting "blasting" sand around here so I get play sand at Lowe's and sift it and make sure it is DRY. Northern tools has some good sandblasters. They are worth using as it is very hard to get a good metal finsh where there is surface rust with wire brushes. Be sure and prime the metal immediately after blasting it to get maximum adhesion and avoid contamination.

Since it is just a plow and planter, with cast, forged and hot rolled steel, you can just blast it with sand. You can pick up bags of sandblast sand, it is the best because it is clean and dry. Don"t blast any sheetmetal, it will warp, sand or wire brush it. Or you can do like I did on my plow. I just primed it using rattle cans of Rustoleum rusty metal primer and topped it off with IH red. I should go back and repaint the proper parts with cream and blue. I did not know it at the time that these IH plows were actually painted three colors :-)
