I purchased a new Hobby Air fresh air respirator with the full mask. I painted for about a half hour and was in the process of cleaning the gun and sensed there wasn't enough air coming into the mask.

I turned it off, brought it into the garage, plugged it in and turned it on and there was hardly any air coming out. I let it cool down for about a half hour and it was back to normal flow.

Are these known for getting too hot and not working, or do I need to contact the seller. I appreciate your input. Thanks.

Dave,I have a hobby air fresh air system also. I notice that when I use it the unit gets real hot,but I've never had any problem with air flow. It could be it got so hot that it melted the "blower" if it was made of plastic. Let us know what you find. Dale

Yes, mine gets pretty hot. I used it the next day and it worked fine, although it wasn't quite as long a time period. I guess I'll keep using it and see what happens. Thanks.

I haven't had any problem. Mine has a tyvec hood, the hose runs into the tyvec. Sometimes if I'm not careful putting it on, the tyvec gets twisted. I never paint for that long, more like 10 minutes at the most. I have used it for sandblasting for maybe 20 minutes (that's all my sandblaster will hold), the air gets hot, but the flow has never decreased -- where did you buy it? I don't know how the blower could be defective, maybe your inlet is plugged.
