Ok, Since CNKS said my paint would not match on the lower half of Combine to the upper flat sheet metal , what should I clean the upper paint and lower paint with.

I mean, re-paint is one option, but is there a great rubbing compound or color restorer that I can clean all the lower and upper tin and augers with than apply a super duper wax or whatever to get this thing in great shape?? NOT afraid of some elbow grease and effort - just want the best way to lift old oxidized color to new shiny color.

Thanks for you help.

WiCase - Joe

Try "Liquid Sapphire" wax. Have not used it alot but really seem to do a good job on tractors. It is a cleaner wax, it' not abraisive. Seems to remove the oxidation pretty well. According to the label it is supposes to last almost forever. I'll be happy if it lasts a year.

There are many options. Both for hand rub and power buffers. One example -- Go to a place that sells Mequiars (NAPA) -- they have a step by step procedure, read the labels on the bottles. Combine is hugh, it will take you a long time -- and then in 3-4 months it will be faded again, as there is NO product that provides significant UV protection. Perhaps someone else who has actually done something that large will have suggestions.
