We painted my Super M 2 days ago with OmniMTK and Omni MH 167 hardner. I have a few small parts to paint yet. I mixed all the paint 2 days ago and it is starting to set up now, with 1 cup left. Can I add something to it to extend it's use for a couple more days?

Hi Todd,

The published potlife for mixed MTK is 8 hours (at 70F). See the tech sheet. What's left 8 hours after mixing should be discarded and not used. Don't mix up more than you can use in the 8 hours.

I use omni quit often, and i think that the pot life with the hardener is only about 24 hours. I think that mixing someting will give you undesirable results. Next time, just mix what you'll use within a 24-36 hour time period.

The only way I have seen catylized paint go any longer than 12 hrs is to put it in the fridge. I don't use economy lines very often. I will say this though, any catylized paint that stays liquid for more that 24 hrs isn't worth what you paid for it. The catylist, that is. Like Rod said though, follow the tech sheet instructions.
