Galvanized -- there is no official color, as IH requested only corrosion resistance. The original rims were really rather dull, and difficult to duplicate with paint. Aluminum and "silver" paints are usually too bright. I use a version of GM rally wheel paint, sort of a siver gray color, PPG 8568. Not saying it is "correct". I really doubt if galvanizing will increase the value of your tractor, but if you want to have it done, go ahead. If you want the whole tractor to be "original" you also have to use the cheap alkyd enamel, and get the correct color. It is my belief that the original IH 50/1102b/201 red colors plus the 1961-up 2150 really do not exist anymore, as the manufacturers have changed, and the colors they are using did not come from IH (CIH currently uses Valspar), but were someones interpretation of what the color should be. The paint from the major manufacturers, including PPG, DuPont, and Sherwin Williams/Martin Senour/NAPA all have their own versions, along with the cheaper alkyd enamel furnished by Van Sickle, TSC, etc. I have mine tinted according to what I think it should be, which likely results in the wrong color. You just have to do the best you can.
