Has anyone ever used pro tex rust x rust neutalizer on rusted areas before painting.They are trying to sell me this product at a supposedly special price of $100.00 a gallon.Was wondering if it is worth the money?Thanks for any advice,Dave A

Dave, I think that is kind of high.. I go to Advance Auto Parts or Napa and get something called "One Step". I don't recommend the spray can version I do however recommend the brush on version.. what this does is turns the rust into a non-aggressive polymer.. what that means is it is still rust but it wont go any farther the polymer serves as a pre-primer.. the directions are on the bottle.. its not hard.. just make sure you use latex or rubber gloves when applying this stuff it is a carcinogen..

by the way one step should be alot cheaper than that in the long run because this stuff goes pretty far.. you can even use a spray gun or spray bottle to apply it :)
