I purchased some Herschel-Adams paint to paint some parts on my tractor. I am wanting to use hardner in it. The can doesn't say what ratio to mix it for hardner. What should I mix it at? It also says not to use hardner in the primer. What is the reason for this?

Thanks for your help
Nathan

The safest and most accurate answers to your questions should come directly from Herschel-Adams themselves. If they sell the product then they should have this info. If they don't,then take it back and start over. You shouldn't have to buy the product and then get on an internet forum to find out how to use (misuse) it. Trust me,I'm not being cocky here, but would you buy a new tractor that didn't come with an owners manual and then come on here to try to find out the correct way to operate it?? Hold the seller accountable. If they can't tell you how to use their product, then get your money back and buy from someone that will. It's such an "off brand" that I doubt very much that many on here have much experience with it. I maybe wrong on that, but I still stand by my statements. Any particular reason for choosing a set of products without clear instructions? Just asking...I've never heard of it myself.

I phoned H-A the other day to ask the very same question. The lady told me the same thing as the can says - Mix the whole thing of hardener in with the gallon and use it like that.

Uh what?! So ur on ur own and the ratio - have to figure it out urself. I havent dont it yet lol. Ive just been adding a lil hardener to the paint everytime I paint. So far so good

It seems like it takes forever to dry..... Then a long time to really harden up. But it also helps to thin the paint out with the recommened VM hardener
