I am redoing a wagon box. It has about 25% of old paint left. What would be the best product to use to remove the old paint? Would light sandblasting do too much damage to the wood?

Since it"s wood, I definitely would not sand blast. Use a chemical stripper intended for stripping paint and finishes off of wood. Although it will be more labor intensive, it won"t damage the wood. I am not into woodworking, but more on the metal restoration side of things. The products used for each are very different. Look in your local homecenters for products. You could also ask woodworkers what their preferences are. Most of the strippers will probably be water clean up which is good.

We"re probably going to need to see a picture of what you"re talking about to make any kind of good recommendation. Are you trying to strip paint from wood or steel?
