I'm painting a 17'float that I use to haul equipment, Farmall's and an Allis, for landscaping. I have things prepared, using tremclad red, BUT what can be added to speed up the dry time when the day temp is 6.c/45.F and have a good shine? I'm probabily also going to paint the trailer everyother year.

There is another discussion in this forum asking the diff between reducer and thinner is. I know one difference is that reducers are available in different tempurature ratings. This is more important in pro auto body work when production speed is improtant.

One recomendation I have heard when painting tractors is to go one notch higher temp than conditions recomend for auto work due to the difficulty keeping a wet edge when painting a tractor.

Sounds like you might be bending the needle a bit painting at that low of a temp but I would ask the person who mixes your paint and he should be able to recomend something for your situation if it's available.

Hope this helps

Thanks, your right I am bending things.
Found out a few things you can use SENTARI(Dupont)
product to help harden thing in this situation not sure of how to mix it though. We sprayed the trailer yesterday, night temps got around 4.c/40.f . I was told that if things get to cold with humidity Tremclad turns Whiteish. This did not happen to me... can you pitcure towing a 17' PINK float to work?
Thanks
