I have Develbiss GTI Millenium gravity feed spraygun. When I spray Centari even with a slow reducer after about a minute the paint flow slows up to a dry spray. I then rinse the gun and then the problem starts again after about a minute. Any ideas would be appreciated.

First thing is the paint old? If it is it could be gelliton so strain it.2)has the gun been takin apart and cleaned? 3) are you using old hardener that is getting stiff? 4)try to spray some other paint to elemenate the above

Hi,

The only thing I can think of that might be the cause of what you are describing is a clogged vent in the cap on the paint cup. That could slowly reduce the flow of paint to the nozzle and result in a situation that resembles too fast a gun movement for the rate of paint delivery, thereby causing a dry spray. That would be the first thing I'd check.

The vent hole has always been open.
