I have a couple of questions I hope someone can help me with. 1) I bought some paint from the John Deere dealer in a quart can. It's just labeled green. Can anyone tell me if it's enamel or acrylic enamel, I assumed it is just straight enamel. 2) I used J.D. thinner but was spraying outside in the wind and ended up with a bad case of orange peel. How long after spraying can I sand it and respray it? I did'nt use any type of hardener, just thinner. Thanks for any information you can give. Tim

By not using hardener you will have to wait several days (weeks in some cases) before painting again. The reason for this is simple. When you paint it again you will use hardener to reduce the orange peel and the hardener and reducer will have a tendancey to lift the fresh paint you applied before. Then you have an even bigger mess.

You could of course just remove the orange peeled paint a start over.

It depends on how long you sprayed the last coat. Some Deere paints need to dry at least 72 hours before recoat others 36 hours. If you fall in that window I would wet sand and repaint.
