Hi, Yes, I believe a single stage paint system will do fine indeed, assuming it's a solid and not a metallic color. If it's metallic, you probably ought to look into a base/clear system as being easier to use for that, providing you have a fresh air respirator to deal with the safety issues concerning isocyanates in the hardeners used in clears. For a single stage, assuming you have the fresh air respirator, look into a single stage urethane in any major manufacturer's economy line of automotive paints. In PPG that would be OMNI MTK. Lacking a fresh air respirator, I'd stick to only solid colors and an unhardened acrylic enamel instead of a urethane. In PPG that would be OMNI MAE. A little higher up the quality ladder (and definitely higher up in cost) would be Centari acrylic enamel in DuPont using the 1K, non-iso field mix. The DuPont equivalent to OMNI MAE would be NASON Fast-Dry acrylic enamel. I am assuming here that cost is a consideration. If it isn't, then, of course the skys the limit and you have a whole world of choices out there. Rod
