I bought a cheap HVLP gun years ago and was real happy with it, it matched my ability perfectly! Over the years it had slowly started to give me problems. I always would spray a half a cup of thinner through it and clean the nozzle when I was done painting. I started to paint a log splitter yesterday and it was acting up again, decided to take it competely apart and clean it. I spent over 2 hours chipping and scraping the hardened paint out of it , I got to thinking ,how much of this stuff did I breath in before I got my supplied air system? Best money I ever spent. Dave

Just my .02 but sounds like I would be figuring out a different more effective way of flushing out the gun. there should never be any hardened paint to chip away anywhere if flushed correctly.Top of the line guns won't spray right either with hardened paint in them.Supplied air...better late than never.

I bought a survivair system with a full face mask. I really like it, only draw back is the curved face shield, in certain light has a little distortion. I bought it on Ebay for $400, retail was over $1200. just watch for a deal! Dave
