Had a few runs in a paint job on an M. Sanded out the runs. Now to reshoot, do I just scotch bright the paint, mist a coat and reshoot a full wet coat or what? And does the whole part have to be done or will it blend in. Not sure of the procedure. Thanks

All depends on what type paint you used and whether you used a catylist or not. Anything with a catylist , you should be good to go after a month. Do it as you described. Uncatylized anything , give it 2 mos.,sand it all, then give it a week after you sanded it. Same method to spray. Assuming you are recoating with the SAME product as first paint job. You won't blend it in and have it not detectable if you are the least bit fussy. Some will call anything "good enough".

Yes. Many, many variables, but a wet heavy coat of paint can even wrinkle cured paint. Semi-cured even easier. You really only get one shot from bare metal to get the paint on correctly. After that it's repaired paint.

May wrinkle if too wet of a coat, but wet enough to shine. Paint the whole part again or buff out the halo you leave.
