Hi Jack,

For stainless steel, PPG recommends applying DX533 aluminum cleaner with a Scotch-Brite pad, followed by a rinse and an epoxy primer. If you want to save some money, I'd substitute PPG OMNI MP epoxy for the DPLF.

Why stainless though? Seems to be an unnecessary expense for what is essentially a prop.

the reason we used stainless... is we have a company which donated it... lots... and good stuff.. a little hard to work with but still worth it...

Let me just add to rods reply If you cannot find the Omni brand through your PPG jobber they may have switched to what PPG calls the Shop-line you will be looking MP375 it is about 25.00 a quart sprayable. It is the same as the OMNI just a different can. I believe the hardener is JH3770
