Last fall, I stripped, wire brushed, and power washed my little ferguson tractor dang near all the way to bare metal. It has been sitting all winter and , of course, has a light cover of rust.
Come primin' time this spring, can I wipe her down with some course scotch-brite pads and maybe some liquid to help the removal? It comes off fairly easy now. I thought about steel wool, but that stuff is pretty wimpy. Just looking for some suggestions. Many thank, this will be my first paint job and I LOVE reading this site. Mark

You should have put a primer on it immediately after stripping. Especially sitting that long. The scotchbrite pads should do the trick though. Wiping it down with a wax and grease remover or reducer afterwards will show you whether you got it all off or not. Its just extra work for yourself that would have been nice to avoid because as you know there is already enough work to it. Good Luck with your paint job!
