I don't think you will be happy with installing a clear coat on the items mentioned. You would have to scuff everything with scuff pads, blow out all dust and dirt, then try a test application, in an area not easily seen, but that you can observe. Look for fisheyes in the test application. If there are any that develop, quickly remove the offending clear, using a product for that purpose, and this after not allowing the clear to dry! "Fisheyes" are little mottled spots that develop in the finish being applied, that form while the finish is wet, and will ruin any work you have heretofore done, while it is wet. If you allow them to dry thoroughly, they will ruin any finish you subsequently apply! In your case, if the parts aren't readily seen, maybe a good application of paint, using those sponge brushes, sold at Home Depot, or other places will do an acceptable job of finishing the unit! And, after thoroughly dry and after some use, just clean the item with soap and water, hose it off, let dry, and start 'er up! Using clear coat for a shine isn't cost effective on tractors. It is great for the Base Coat finishes used on new cars, etc., but a waste of money on tractors, etc., unless being used as show pieces!
