would most of the older tractors have lead in the paint? I was wondering when I sandblasted a tractor if there might be a problem I wasn't aware of.

Any comments>thanks

In addition to the obvious precautions installing a 4' or 5' pipe between the blaster hose and nozzle takes your head out of the cloud of dust. Also makes it easier to hold.

Some new paints still have lead in them. It takes a lot of exposure to lead to cause problems for an adult. When you sandblast you are wearing a mask and hood anyway, or should be. I use supplied air from an external source. Far more danger from the free silica resulting from the sand than from lead.
