Please explain color sanding and duffing.

Would someone tell me the procedure for color sanding and buffing on a new paint job. Why is it one. What's needed. I am about to paint a tractor with acrylic enamel with hardner.

Thanks for the help and info.

Ive done alot of duffing in my days. Don't know nottin about buffing.

with the type of paint you ssy you are going to use, you will be better off if you don't use anything to cut through the topcoat of the paint.It is done, but anything you use will take that high gloss off the paint along with some protection it gives you. just sand it real smooth, 400 sandpaper wet will work fine. If you do sand the top, use 2000, it is real easy on top coats. It cuts down the buffing time too. Machine buffing is the only way to go, but it is kind of hard for the inexperienced.
