What hardener works best with TISCO? I must say though, the more I read and research this thread I wonder if I should pay the extra money for automotive quality paint for my Allis CA. I'm running low on my budget but I have the tractor completely disassembled for a quality paint job. This tractor will only see the light of day for parades and showing off to my friends. Will TISCO really look that bad after 5 or 10 years?

andy, pretty sure the valspar hardener is the one you are looking for to use with the tisco paint. the alkyd enamels are pretty easy to use and are forgiving of mistakes. jumping to an automotive paint, ppg, diamont, glasurit, ect are going to increase your material costs considerably. mistakes with these lines cost a lot to fix. with good preparation and applicatiion, you should be fine with the tisco, as your tractor sounds like its gonna have an easy life. here are a couple picture of my farmall cub, painted with the farm and fleet paint about 12 years ago, no hardener. tractor is used a lot for mowing, kinda rode hard and put away wet. paint is still holding up good. with a bath and a coat wax, it still looks good.
