what is the best way to take off decal and save the paint

with a handy dandy decal and stripe removing tool from your local body shop supplier of course!!!! this is what we use at the shop. its basically a soft rubber wheel that you use on an air grinder or you can chuck it in an electric drill. it "rubs" the decal or stripe off without damaging the paint., then clean up the remaining adhesive with prep sol, and you're good to go!!
