How do I go about getting the water out of the air lines so I won't see any water marks when I paint my tractor. Is there some water catcher I can buy that you connect to the air compressor? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

There are also small disposable moisture traps that go on the inlet to the gun, in addition to the wall trap.

For low air consumption like painting 30 ft of 3/4" pipe that drain condensation back to the compressor and forward to a cheapo trap will do the trick.

Buy a good water trap, maybe $150. Put it at the end of the run, where you attach the hose, or as far away from the compressor as you can get it. My is about 100 feet from the compressor, zero water. Keep your compressor tank and the lines drained.

I can't add, I actually have two traps, one about 80 feet from the compressor, the painting drop is about 15 feet from there or 95 feet.

Also run the lines so that they drain AWAY from the compressor. Put a drain valve in the line before the trap.

couple low budget things you can try, first, at the bottom of the compressor tank is a water drain. open the drain and get all the water out. leave the valve open just a tad so it seeps a little air, this will help drain the water out of the tank. next, go to your local auto parts store (napa) ect and pick up a water filter that hooks into the air line. put the filter at the compressor. there is a drain on the bottom of the filter bowl, again leave that cracked open just a tad so it seeps air. try and paint when the humidity is low too.
