I was curious about overspray, vapors, and those darn Isocynates. Are they heavier than air and settle to ground level and then built up or are they lighter than air and rise until they have to come down, or do they just plain saturate the area around you?

I am assuming you may be asking because of what happens once the vapor is out of your shop into the outdoors. Once it is outdoors it will dilute to levels that will not harm your neighbors 50 yds away or more. Can you smell paint fog at 50 yds? Yes if the wind is blowing directly that way. If neighbors complain of objectionable smell , they have a ligit complaint and you will have problems. (farms have the same problem) Will it hurt them at 50 yds or more? No more than the manure smell will.

the overspray solids will settle out, the volatiles will evaporate into the air. the nasty stuff gets absorbed thru your skin and respiratory system. wear proper protective equipment!!
