I am re-painting my 1968 MF 165. The F red that I have found seems to be a lot "redder" than the old. The origional red on the tractor is in pretty good shape, and even the "hidden" areas much different from the new red. Was there a different red in 1968, and how do I find it? Any knowledge on the NAPA/MS code for the 1968 MF red? Thankx for the help! MacLean in Maine.

This sight YT has a DuPont DuLux paint code for Massey Ferguson, I recently had it crossed to PPG and the color is near identical to the bottom side of my 1959 MF50's gas tank. (I used white rubbing compound to a small area of the bottom side of the gas tank for a test area) Some of the difference you see is most likely from fading, even in protected areas. MF red during the 70's and early 80's had an red/orange hue when it faded.

Joe: I am getting ready to start on a "58" 65, and I sure could use that PPG paint code. Do you have that handy?

The PPG paint code for my 1959 MF50 is PPG fleet number 70837, hope this helps you. I think MF used the same color through the 60's.

Good Morning,
I will stop by the paint shop Saturday morning and ask for it. I know they crossed it from the old DuPont DuLux listed on this site. Get back to you with the paint code number
