About to order a spray gun and would like to hear if anyone has any experience with this model, good or bad. After going through the arcives it seems HVLP guns are favored in the gravity feed style, what about the pressure feed cup style?

I don't have any experience with that Sharpe model but I do have a personal preference for pressure feed using a remote cup. I find that arrangement great because I am not carrying around a bunch of paint in my spray hand...and upside down or odd angle spraying is a piece of cake.

I recently purchased a DeVilbiss HVLP, gravity feed touch-up gun. An expensive sucker that I would not buy again. I am trying to get used to the HVLP aspect. I find that I have to get closer and go much slower than I am used to...plus I dislike having the paint in a cup on top of the gun.

The pressure feed models should have a different fluid tip and needle assembly and possibly a different air cap from the gravity or suction fed models. With that in mind, it would probably be pretty easy to add a remote cup option if you were so inclined...check out the Sharpe web site if you have not done so already. If you are doing all smaller, individual parts, the remote cup is overkill. However, for overalls, I love that arrangement. Plus it's FAST...really lays the paint down. Guess that's why I feel I am going in slow motion with the HVLP gravity gun :o).
