The original subject was "Re: Primers".

I used PPG DPLF Non-Sanding on a car I was refinishing.The breaker threw and i did notice and as I sprayed(outside) my air pressure went down thus started to spit a little.Is there harm in sanding?Thanks!John

Epoxy by nature is tough to sand but can be done. The other problem with Epoxy is that it is slow drying. Nothing beats Epoxy for rust protection on a restoration. Make sure you watch the recoat window or you must sand it or scuff it before top coating. Always ask you paint supplier to give you a tech sheet when you buy products.

No there is no harm in sanding as long as it has dried for at least 4 or 5 hrs. Don't dry sand. Use 600 grit and a little water. You may have to re-coat the area if you go through to metal.
