Did I read somewhere that Paint Hardner has a limited shelf life? Have some a couple years old.

I believe it's 2? years unopened, 2 weeks opened. But, you can put it in the refrigerator and/or squirt a gas such as bloxygen (trade name), or some forms of welding gas (I'm not a welder) immediately before you close it and it will last indefinitely. I do that, but usually replace after a few months to be on the safe side. Some controversy about this as I have heard of people using it for a couple of years with no gas or refrigeration. However a small refrigerator costs less than $100 and uses little electricity. If you see crystals in it I definitely wouldn't use it, not sure if that is the deciding factor, though.

After you open it for the first time, It isnt very long before its hard in the can, I use dupont but most is the same, if its not hard i would use it, but it has probably got small chrystals of hardened material in it, makes paint look yuk!
