Paint tape problems

I taped off some areas that I didn't want to get over spray on and shot it this weekend (JD paint). When I pulled the tape off there was this mountain (well, not quite, but a raised line) where the tape was. Is there any easy way to get rid of that line without having to repaint the whole enchallada?

Thanks.

When paint is just beyond the "tacky" stage (touchable, and doesn't stick to your finger), pull the masking tape off. The barely dry painted edge will tend to "melt down", creating a rather smoothe/finished edge.

Is there alot of it... or just limited spots? if limited.. i'v had luck using a fine tipped hobby knife to trim down the ridge.

Wet sand the ridge line. Use a 1000 or 1200 grit sandpaper, and then once you get it as smooth as you can live with, Buff it.

You can also wet sand both areas right before you buff it with a 1500 grit and then buff, That might make it blend a little better.
