I am restoring a Cockshutt 30 and wanted an opinion whether or not to fill the spot weld marks on fenders and nose to fill them would make for nicer paint job but not original.Any thoughts? Thanks Merv

If you want it original, don't fill the spot welds. They came with those showing when new. I, personally wouldn't fill them.

When my brother and myself did my Oliver 1600, we left the spot welds. Wouldn't look natural any other way.

Hello M; It really depends on what you are going to do with the tractor. If you are going to show it where it will be judged for originality then you'd want to keep it original. Or, if you are restoring it for your pleasure and want to be able to say it is all original, then keep it original. But if it is for your enjoyment, then do what makes you happy. My 2 cents.
