I strip my Farmall down to bare metal but still have places where primer and paint turns loose. I was wondering if there is something I can clean metal with prior to primeing. I think there is still oil /greese in poars of metal. This is on the cast parts that I am having trouble with.

try castrol super clean. its a pretty potent degreaser. any autoparts store has it. spray it on, let it soak 10 or 15 minutes, then pressure wash the casting. get it dry with a fan or even a propane torpedo heater (not kerosene, it will leave an oil residue) then clean with a good wax and grease remover (prep-sol, pre kleano) you can use your spray gun and shoot it on, wipe down with clean rags. some guys then use a metal prep, but our paint supplier doesnt recommend it with cast, as it soaks in the pores and doesnt come out easily. just prime with a good epoxy primer to seal it.
