The IH colors are IH 901 white and IH 1102B red. Don't know the DuPont codes, I don't think you can match 1102B, you can try. Otherwise use IH 2150, crosses to DuPont 96766, it was used on later model tractors beginning in 1961. Your DuPont dealer should be able to match 901.

 53 Super M in reply to CNKS, 11-23-2007 18:11:51
In reading several post it is apparent that 2150 is a common code, I have a retoration book which calls for 7410 Centari for Dupont, I have bought the paint and it is lighter than the current color, it has been repainted, Is this the right paint to put on my tractor?

Thanks,

Mike

This topic shows under a November posting, at least on my computer. To answer your question, the "correct" color for a 53 SM is 1102B, IH 50/Dupont 7410/PPG 70093 ended in mid 1949, 2150/PPG 71310/DuPont 96766 did not appear until 1961 -- take your pick. I do not know if 1102b can be mixed or not. It is not available from Case-IH. I don't know if it is that important, as I do not believe the original colors exist any more, due to formulation changes. They can be tinted by your dealer to whatever color you like.

If you have further questions, please start a new post--I use the classic view and usually don't read older posts.
