I am wanting to take the front bolster and side railings off so just the engine and the rest of the rear chassis can be painted as one whole unit.
I am concerned about supporting the front end, looks like it could be "top" heavy. Where should I support it on the front?

It isn't necessary, as you won't be able to tell the difference. I did remove one rail at a time on my Super H, cleaned them good and painted the back side of the rails, although they weren't painted at the factory. I painted the engine and rails with the rails installed. Right or wrong, an angled gun in that area works fine. I did remove the front bolster and painted it separately. At that point the tractor was supported with a heavy square bar supported by two large jack stands.

i made a plate that bolts to the top cover on the bolster, use 4 or 5 of the cover bolts, then put an eye in the center to hook to, hang it from your engine hoist. works good and you can get it all painted, if you dont want to make a plate, use a couple pieces of short chain and some bolts and washers to bolt the chain to the top of the bolster

I used a tripod made from 1 1/2" pipe and a chain-falls to hold my front.
