Thanks Rod I will check on paint. I hope finishmasters still mixes it. I have 3-4 quarts should be ok for a ac-b. No room to spill any. DS

Hi DS,

K36 is in PPG's Deltron lineup, a premium surfacer normally used with DPLF, PPG's premium epoxy primer. I've never used K36 but I have no doubt in my mind that you would be able to apply it over Omni MP170 with no problems whatsoever. I used to use DPLF and DP before they took the lead out (the LF designates lead free). I have since moved completely from it to Omni MP170 as a more cost effective solution in an epoxy primer. I use Omni MP182 for a surfacer but if I were to use the premium K36, I'd put it over the MP170 in a heartbeat. I'd also put the Delstar over the K36 without a thought. Go for it.

You're still able to get Delstar mixed in your area? It's an excellent acrylic enamel, comparable to DuPont's Centari. Both are pricey for what they are nowadays however. I haven't been able to get Delstar in my area for quite a number of years now. I'd recommend you make sure you have plenty of it on hand to complete any project (including the DXR80 hardener, if used, and the DTR reducers) as it may not be available much longer.

Rod
