Goody Question Going To be Painting A Farmall M And Only Have A Regular MAchine Shed Or Outside To Do It What Is The Best And Simple Primer To Use And What Paint Should I Use? Should I Put A Trap Down In Shed And Paint It Inside Or Should I Paint Outside When Weather Is Nice And Decent?

I paint outside where i can get ventilation.

If you have lots of dust.. you might spray an area down and / or put a dropcloth down.. and even put up temp sheeting for a booth.. up to you. All depends on your environment.

use a primer made to be compatible with your intended paint brand and chemistry.

You want 500$ paint that will look like a car job.. and hold up good in the uv with little care.. or you want 65$ paint that can last for years with some care and a wash and wax job every now and then.. ( keep under cover to make finish last longer ). You can get either or.. or anything inbetween and ++++$$$$

If it a work tractor.. I'd just as soon scratch off 65$ paint on twigs and branches and rocks.. than scratch off 500$ paint.

3 good weeks of brush pile work will make each tractor look the same..
