You are gonna find rite much more rust when you go to clean it up,,, pin holes galore,,, the inside frame needs to come out,,, it will not come out in one piece,,, you are gonna have to cut it some were in the middle and take it out in 2 sections,,, the frame is spot welded all the way around,,, rite smart of a job to git it out. Any repair you make is gonna b in the way of put'n the frame back in so B careful how much you build it up,,, on the ends of the frame use bolts and spot weld it back up,,, leave the bolts,,, grind some relief for the radiator side frame,,, its a close fit and i have never had one fit I repaired less I took a grinder to the hood frame were it fits up to the radiator,,, the hood should fall off and fall on,,, no jump'n on it to git it on... I said after the last one i fixed I would never do anutter,,, I cut up a better hood to fix the one I was working on,,, I had already sandblasted the bad one and did not know the Donner was in that good of shape,,, the donor did need a nose job. you are in for a project if done right,,, a aftermarket will look good to ya wait and see. I have welded patch panels,,, ell of a job and done a pucky job,,, pucky from the back with dynaglass or water proff bondo with fiber,,, apply the pucky to wax paper and press it into the rusty holes,,, pucky will not stick to wax paper,,, even then i did not like it so fiberglass mite b the rt. I take on the next one,,, the dynaglass trick does work best were its tuff to git at the back side,,, Zane has a trick also you mite ask him for it,,, i have his email if you need it or start a post over on the 2n 8n 9n side,,, if you got the time enjoy it,,, I do if I have the time,,, good hoods are priceless
