When did IH go to the 2 tone paint on body's???
Was it 56, or 57???
Im not sure which ??
But i know I like the 2 tone paint alot better
than the solid red all around, Kinda boring looking??
Needs to be broken up a little and the later ones look alot better I think,
I could o that to that W-6 but it wouldnt look right.
So ,,,Im aiming for a 400gas one thats all there and I want someone that likes W-6's to have mine and we can switch if he wants or if it works out?? That way,,, He'll be happy, and Ill be happy,

Kirk, I think you"re referring to the 450 or 50 series which started in 1956 which had the white insets such as where the word Farmall and grille had a white background. The hundred series had chrome letters and sheet metal changes the 50 series had both. The 60 series started in 1958 seemed to have more white. The ag engineers in those days were more into functional than looks but were getting better as compared to the old F series of yester year. The new age designers are very heavy into looks, operator comfort, and ease of service along with dependability. CT
