Finally, after a year of sanding and waiting for good weather, I'm going to spray my first coat of primer on my AC CA tomorrow afternoon.
Here's my question: Do I thin my primer (#600 series low, Voc metal)? I have one gallon. The paint sales guy said I have to wait 24 hours for each coat - true? And, can I spray color the same weekend? I'm spraying TISCO Persian #1 and I'm using Velvathane gloss plus hardener #707.

andy, i am not familiar with the primer you're using, but for the most part any primer will need to be thinned to go thru a spray gun. the paint mfr will give you a reduction rate for the material you are going to apply. the recoat time , again will first depend on the mfr recomendations, ambient temperature an humidity also affect drying rate. sorry i couldnt help more. glenn

Thanks Glenn,
I think I figured it out okay - the primer seemed to go on very well. We're going for color tomorrow morning - yikes.
