Buffing a paint job

Just got done painting some pieces that aren't as smooth and shiny as I'd like them to be.Can I buff them somehow?Or do I color sand them or what?Thanks!

ALlow them to fully dry so you can't smell any solvents escaping from the surface.

Then try buffing first. If that won't do it, try color sanding with 1200 grit, wet, then buffing.
If it still isn't good enough, use 600 grit then 1200, then buff.

I'm assuming it is a solid color. Metallics don't color sand well. Nomally if you plan on color sanding a metallic you would cover it with a clear that would be sanded.

None of the above will work on castings. Color sanding is for sheet metal and other smooth parts.

Hacksaw, we have to know what brand & type of paint you used & if you used hardener in the paint before we can advise you on the rubbing or sanding procedure.
