HAS ANYONE had experience with SKYCO OSPHO?

I have bought a gallon of SKYCO OSPHO ($21/GAL) to "neutralize" any lingering rust after wire brushing. There is some deep pitting on areas that hold debris and water. This is supposed make iron oxide and also prime the surface. The ACE Hardware paint rep said I did not need to prime, just dust the flakes that will form when dry off and topcoat. I have read post on other sites that have mixed reviews on ALL rust converters. If the marine industry uses this in salt water, it should work on an implement. Has anyone used this? Is it similar to Rust Bullet or POR-15. Should I use a primer? Should I use an epoxy primer? Should I use POR-15? I am new to 3-part paints and rust converters/neutrilizers. Advice needed..... Thanks.

Charles

Any kind of phosphoric acid will work. It is sold under different names at hardware stores, auto parts houses, Tractor Supply and such. I have used it a lot with good success. I have always used a primer after treating the metal with phosphoric acid, so I can't answer as to how it would work without primer. I don't want to go through all of the effort and expense of painting the tractor to find out later that I should have primed it. Maybe someone else will chime it that has skipped the primer coat after their rust treatment.
