I am about to take the plunge and buy a Breathe-Cool II system. What does the forum reccomend? Tyvek hood or full face mask. I'll be using for painting and the grinding, wire wheeling, sanding of my tractor restorations. Tell me what you think. gobble

Thanks for your input. I'll get the hood to start and see how that works out. gobble

I have the Breathe-Cool system and like it. I use the full face mask. I wear glasses so it presents a little discomfort and awkwardness, but is bearable. I don't worry about a tight seal because of the positive pressure. If I recall correctly they have different size masks, so ask for the right one.

Here's a suggestion. Buy an enclosed garden hose reel for your air hose. The short hose that comes with it to connect to the faucet will connect to the air pump. The reel allows you to pull out what you need and provides good storage for the hose when done.

I have a hood. Full face mask is ok, but may be a problem if you wear glasses. For the wire wheeling and grinding I just wear my glasses, they are the old style large ones. If I had the newer smaller lens style I would wear goggles in preference to the hood. If I am in dusty conditions, I wear my charcoal mask with prefilters. If I sandblast I use the hood. The hood is kind of a pain to use, so I only use it where other protection does not do the job, namely isocyanates and sandblasting.
