I just want to clean up some of my old junk and repaint it. I have the 110 lb model from HF and it works well. I found that using 70 grit sand works the best. Anything heavier clogs the lines. As was stated by Circus and CNKS, the compressor is the important factor. I wore out one compressor using the sandblaster. They are a slick way to clean metal. Also, make sure you have the proper respiratory protection. The silica will damage your lungs.

All pressure sandblasters are much the same. The compresser determines performance.

They are ok, but they use a lot of air and are very slow. My air compressor puts out 24 cfm. I get the job done, but it is slow on large parts such as 38 inch wheels. My compressor does not have a 100% duty cycle, but I run out of sand at about the right time, so it gets to cool off a little. I would hate to use it all day like that.
