What type of filters do i need to buy to protect against isocynates and where can I buy them? I know a closed airline system is the best but for now I will be painting in an open outside area and want ot use a full face mask and the proper filter.

I didn't think I would need one, but I brushed the rear rims on my SC and I could smell it, so I bought a Hobby Air with the tyvek hood, and I love it. I think you could make one and just buy the hood, because the filter is just like the one on my respirator, and the air hose is just a clear garden hose. Don't mess around with your lungs. I had a hole in mine this spring,(not from the paint, it just happened) and it was no fun.

A supplied air system is the ONLY way to prevent inhalation of isocyanates--unless you want to hold you breath the whole time. There are no filters.

I would check at a local automotive paint supply store. They should carry the proper filter for that use. I only way I would consider using a filter system vs. fresh air supply would outside.
