Don't wax new paint! waxing new paint traps and seals the paint off. the solvents in the paint and primers can not get out, this will cause pops in the paint or little spots about the size of a pin head. wait several months before wax is applied. read the paint can and the polish bottle
before you polish. some can and some can't be used.

My personal opinion is that you don't wax new paint, no matter what kind of paint it is. Wait 2 or 3 months. If you used hardener there is less chance of damaging the paint, but I would still wait. If you did not use hardener, 3 months may not be long enough, as the paint may still be soft. My understanding is that polish is not a protectant, just brings out the shine. Polish should have wax applied over it, although there is difference between products.
