Workin on my JD Model A grilles and was wondering about removal and replacment of the grille screens. They are pretty torn up. A couple of the ribs on the grille need to be straightened and I was figuring that removing the grille screens would make the rib work easier. They need to be changed anyway. My question is whats a good way to get them off, grinding? And putting new ones in, would JB weld do the trick? Thanks in advance.

I use a sharp thin chisel and a lot of elbow grease! You might be able to get a small grinder to some of the spot welds. This is not very easy! I drill small holes in the new screens and spot weld them with a Mig welder.
