I am going to paint my MF 205 working tractor. I did not restore it! I would like to spray on a good degreaser, touch up the bad spots, pressure wash and spray with synthetic enamel with urethane hardener. Is there a quick and dirty degreaser that is good enough for paint adhesion, without sand blasting? I have heard of using TSP, any opinion is appreciated. I should tell you that I will etch and prime the rusty parts, and my main concern is adhesion and longevity. Thank You, Mike

I use easy off oven cleaner, spray it on, soak a while, then pressure wash.Prime as soon as possible for it will rust pretty quick.

I use Castrol quick clean I think the name is. It is in a purple plastic gallon jug. Check your auto stores for it. It is like 409 but much stronger.
