I am using paint that I got from Tractor Supply Company to restore my 1947 Farmall A. It is International Harvestor Red is this the right color for this tractor? I have already done some of the parts to the tractor and I am beginning to question weather or not this is the correct color. Any information would be very helpful.
-Thanks

I gotta agree with the fast dull unless your looking to just clean it up I would go with a more expensive paint

A friend who has several Farmall/IH tractors recently told me that International Red is darker and used for the newer International tractors. International Rouge is the brighter red used for the Farmall's like your A, B, H, M, 560's, etc. He has one M painted with International Red that was restored when he bought it. It is a beautiful tractor but definitely darker than the others.

I agree with don't buy the stuff. If it's the same paint sold by CT and Ouality Farm, it gets dull fast - even with the additive. I realize that paint's expensive - except there, but you get what you pay for - especially in this instance.

It might be cheap and look like the oringal. But it will fade, look dull.
